• Attachments: Temporary versus Eternal

  Every human, everything, and every matter is TEMPORARY. Don't get hooked on what pleases you at the moment because it is going to pass away in its time.

  Remember, AT ANY TIME:

  You can lose your life.
  You can lose a family member.
  You can lose a friend.
  You can lose your job.
  You can lose your source of income.
  You can lose someone's affection.
  You can lose a loved one's attention.
  You can lose your dignity.
  You can lose your freedom.
  You can lose everything that you possess.
  You can lose every loved one you dearly hold in your life.
  You can lose anything you value in your life.

  So why would you depend on and attach yourself to what is TEMPORARY? If you attach yourself to a chain with a temporary strength, when it breaks in its time, you will fall with it.

  So don't attach yourself to what is TEMPORARY. Appreciate what and who makes your life beautiful and filled with hope, but never attach yourself to them if you want to enjoy the best of what this earthly life has to offer.

  Attach yourself to that which is Eternal. And there's only One Eternal: God.
